Rent
geared-to-income housing for men and women with serious
mental illnesses is provided in Brantford. Lyons Avenue is a cooperative, home-like setting for 8
adults. Staff are available to assist tenants with living
successfully in the community. Laundry facilities are
available. Each tenant has a private, furnished bedroom
and common areas are shared. Tenants are required to
share weekly chores.
Affordable housing is available at Phoenix Place in
one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments for adults with a
serious mental illness, who are homeless or at risk of being
homeless. Rent is set at the maximum allowed by Ontario
Works or O.D.S.P. A laundry room and lounge are located on
the main floor. |
